THE BUYING GUIDE

Choosing a knee cold therapy machine.

A clear checklist for comparing equipment, understanding the photographs and asking useful questions before you purchase.

Start with your care team

Ask your healthcare professional whether cold therapy and compression are appropriate for you. Get guidance on session length, pressure, skin protection and skin checks for your situation. A buying guide does not replace the instructions for your device or a personal treatment plan.

Check the cuff and the exact configuration

The knee cuff should be the correct wrap for the equipment you are buying. Check the hose connections, adjustable straps and included parts. On NorthCryo, only the knee wrap is currently available; the other wraps shown in the gallery are sold out.

Understand circulation and compression

Cold-water circulation moves chilled water through the cuff. Intermittent compression adds cycles of pressure and release. Ask which controls your exact model has and how your healthcare professional recommends using them. Do not assume that every device in a comparison photo has the same features.

Read the image captions

Our gallery includes supplier reference photographs of different wraps and pump arrangements. The studio image and 3D experience are illustrations. Ask NorthCryo to confirm the cooler, controller, knee cuff and accessories supplied with your purchase.

Compare the total cost and support

The NorthCryo knee system is CAD $280 with free shipping and estimated delivery in 3–5 business days. Read the 30-day return conditions and 60-day defect warranty, and ask about any applicable taxes before confirming a purchase.
